Der Essen Platz established 1967 in Cole Camp, Mo. moved to Camdenton, Mo in January 2007. It is now located
on Lake Road 5-88. Setting on top of Thunder Mountain above the Bridal Cave with a panoramic view of the Big Niangua
River, it offers the best German- Alsasian fare in the Midwest.
Noelle purchased Der Essen Platz in 2003. A native
of Alsace Lorraine, she owned several restaurants on the east coast. Being a chef for many years she loves to prepare
wholesome German- Alsacian food. Her other passion is baking strudels, pies and cakes for her guests.
Daniel, whose
grandparents were born in Leck, Germany, oversees the dinning room and makes sure there is an ample supply of German
& French beer and wine in addition to the full bar.
